Mister Margherita South Melbourne Review

We recently had a team appreciation day at work where we got to finish working at 1PM and spend the rest of the afternoon eating food, watching TV and having a few beers. Half the team ordered Pizza from Mister Margherita and the other half got Rice Workshop. I was team pizza. The best way for us to order was to get a meal deal. This was a deciding factor putting Mister Margherita ahead of a few other pizza restaurants we were looking at. In fact, our original first choice was going to be Mojo’s Weird Pizza in Port Melbourne, but it appears to have closed down.

Mister Margherita Meal Deal Four

This gives you any four pizzas, one garlic focaccia, 1.25L coke or coke zero for $99 on Uber Eats. We ordered the following:

  • Margherita Pizza
  • Salami Pizza
  • Capricciosa Pizza
  • Pollo Pizza
  • Coke Zero 1.25L
  • Garlic Focaccia

Capricciosa Pizza

Mister Margherita South Melbourne Capricciosa Pizza

I had Capricciosa Pizza (San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, Virginia ham, mushrooms, black olives and fior di latte). The dough was very good and the ingredients all seemed to be of premium quality. The size of the pizza was not very big but was a good size for 1 person to eat for lunch.

Salami Pizza

Jack got the Salami pizza, it seemed very similar to the Salami pizza from 11 Inch Pizza. I traded him a piece of mine one of his.

Pollo Pizza

Devansh had the Pollo Pizza (San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, chicken breast, artichokes, roasted capsicum, pesto and provolone).

Margherita Pizza

Dhara had the signature Margherita pizza. It includes San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, fior di latte, provolone, basil and extra virgin olive oil. I had a cold slice of this and it was pretty good, but it surely would have been better when it was warm. This is a very nice-looking Margherita.

Garlic Focaccia

The garlic focaccia was really good. I highly recommend this.

Conclusion

Whilst the pizza sizes are not very large, I would say that most places would call these a medium. These are very high-quality pizzas with good ingredients. You can tell it’s a high-end pizza restaurant because each pizza has different cheeses on it.
