There is truly something here for everyone! Our venue has four different semi-private function spaces to choose from, that can host 20 to 100 guests. Moon Dog World Preston Review
I recently attended Moon Dog World for my friend Kane’s bucks party and was incredibly impressed with the venue and package options for such an event.
Moon Dog World is a brewery in Preston set inside a massive warehouse with a fake river running through it, giving it a very atmosphere unlike anywhere else. It feels a bit like you’re at a theme park or a resort. It’s very cool. I’ll explain more about our functions package further into this article. But in terms of a review, I rate everything about Moon Dog World in Preston very highly.
Features of the venue include:
- Massive warehouse location
- Wide range of beers and seltzers on tap
- Multiple different areas to sit or stand in small groups or large groups
- Children’s playground
- Indoor river or decorative pool
- Clean bathrooms
- Pinball Arcade
I’ve gotta say, there’s something for everyone here. Check the photos below to see what I mean.
Moon Dog World Photos
The main feature of Moon Dog World has got to be the giant water feature.
The Moon Dog World Brewery looks very cool with its bright blue lights. A cool decoration for sure.r
This appears to be a keg room and possibly the kitchen as well.
Here you can see the pool, brewery and I think the beer garden outside on the right.
This area looks like a good spot for family dining.
Here’s the beer garden. I think someone said that the roof opens and closes but I’m not certain. Apparently, the beer garden here is dog-friendly, so that’s pretty neat.
The bar here is massive and the service was pretty fast. I think when everything is on tap, it makes service faster. No slow cocktails.
Moon Dog World Playground
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a drink somewhere with a playground for the kids. This playground makes Moon Dog World an amazing venue for the whole family to enjoy. I didn’t get good photos of the playground as I didn’t have my son with me and didn’t want to be a weirdo taking pics in a playground without even having a kid with me.
Moon Dog World Functions
This venue was built for functions, with multiple separate areas to keep your functions somewhat private. Their packages are quite good.
We had the top right area in the picture below, which is the Top Deck Booths. In their own words:
The Top Deck Booths include two large diner style booths for a more intimate setting, as well as a handful of smaller tables overlooking the bar. This area boasts a 70-inch screen for presentations or slideshows and you have your own private staircase leading up to the area.
You can also see the little step I fell down between the two balconies, with a kid running towards it. My knee still hurts. There are a few separated areas like these scattered around the sides of the building to suit groups of different sizes.
These mac and cheese spring rolls were great.
The Haloumi was also great. The larger items arrived at the time we all had to leave so I didn’t get to see them. My recommendation is that if you have a function planned that you speak to your event organiser at the venue to ensure they make sure all the food is scheduled sensibly. I felt a bit ripped off missing out on all the larger meals that arrived after our time was up and my free lift was leaving.

In terms of Fizzer flavours, there appeared to be 12 of these. These were alcoholic seltzers and this is all I drank when I was there.
Being a brewery, there was a large selection of craft beers available, all made in-house or maybe at their other locations.

Can You Swim at Moon Dog World?
No, you cannot swim at Moon Dog World. Whilst the original concept was going to include a swim-up bar, the legal red tape for something including swimming and alcohol was going to be a huge barrier, so this just looks like the kind of place where you could do this, but the pool is purely cosmetic.
