Our Ultra Low Maintenence Backyard Renovation

We’ve been waiting to get our front and back yards landscaped for a long time. We did not get it done as part of our original build with JG King as they do not give you any choice in what you get and we have very particular tastes. This article focuses on what was done in the backyard only as I don’t really want photos of the front of my house online.

Backyard Before and After

Here’s a photo I took soon before the renovations started from our living room window. As you can see the backyard was just dirt and weeds and full of leftover wood and bricks that the builders at JG King left behind. It really wasn’t the best view ever.

Here you can see that we’ve extended the concrete at our alfresco to the full width of the house. There’s now fake grass running the full width of the block. This view from our living room is now infinitely nicer. The backyard is still very bare, but boy, what an improvement!
