If you are going on holiday and have organised a house sitter to look after your pets, you may want to leave out a note with all the useful information you may have forgotten to tell them or that they might not remember.
WIFI Password
This is probably one of the most important things for anyone staying at your house. Don’t leave anyone stranded without internet!
Contact Details
Write down the phone numbers for everyone who lives in your house + perhaps any other family members nearby in case of any emergencies.
Notes about anything that should not be touched
Is anything broken that they should avoid? any rooms out of bounds? List those down.
List of where important things are located
This includes extra toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dishwasher tablets etc.
Instruction to use any appliances
Our oven keeps its fan on after use for about an hour. This confuses some people so we leave a note so that they don’t freak out.
Reminder to turn off heating
We ensure the heating is left off at night and when we leave the house.
Where the pet food is located
Location of food + any other instructions are very important if they are pet sitting. This can include a feeding schedule and any exercise schedules.
How to use the TV
In our house, our power button is broken on the TV remote so we use our Wii U gamepad as a universal remote. This always requires explaining to anyone who uses our TV. Be sure to leave a note on how to access Netflix if it is on a particular video game console or Apple TV.
Dishwasher instructions
Our dishwasher’s tablet door gets caught on the drawer if you don’t leave it shut. It also beeps when it’s left turned on, so we leave a reminder to shut the door and turn off the machine after use.
Security Alarm Code
If they are already in your home reading this list inside your home, they’ve probably gotten past the secrurity alarm already. But it might be worth leaving a reminder of the code and when to alarm it.
