Woolworths VS Coles Clumping Cat Litter – Which is better?

Whilst I know you can get giant bags of kitty litter at pet stores and larger department stores such as Kmart and Big W, we always buy the cheap home brand 4.5 KG bags at either Coles or Woolworths.

We have tried a few other brands and types, but we’ve found that these are consistently OK for our fussy cat Ronald. He does not like crystals.  Our kitten Ed is happy with them too, so we just keep buying the home brand regardless of which supermarket we are at.

Over time though, I have found that I prefer the Woolworths home-brand cat litter better. It has smaller particles than the Coles product. This allows the wet clumps to stick together better when you scoop it up. I found the larger particles of the Coles product would often crumble and bits of wet matter will fall back into the litter and is hard to sift out.

I will still buy the Coles product if I am in that store, but I must admit we have been shopping at Woolworths far more often lately. Mostly due to their rewards app.
