Genius Garage Conversions

Garages take up a lot of valuable land space. With block sizes decreasing in Australia space is valuable.

A garage has a lot of potential. And if you’re short on space, a garage conversion might be something to consider.

(Just note if you’re doing this to an existing home you may need council approval and to add a fire alarm for safety)

One genius NSW family decided to make the most of their garage space when they built their home.

They worked alongside their home builder to convert their double garage into 2 extra bedrooms and an extra living area!

They decided to scrap the roller door in favour of windows and had the garage space carpeted, insulated and added split systems throughout. This is genius.

The conversion cost approximately $10,000.

Having 2 extra bedrooms and an extra living area would add a huge amount of space and value to your home.

Think about it, 50 years ago we never really had garages. Most Australians had carports. If you have ample parking in front of your property or a decent sized driveway you don’t necessarily need a garage.
